I also have a bunch of other patterns, like E, F, G, H, which I want to use in the other song Im working on - called Clunky old sampler in a new shiny box.

A lot of things I really, really like about it, and a few things I just cant understand why anyone in their right mind in this day and age would design in this way.

And I guess this seems to be the general consensus amongst gearslutz.

Im happy to live with limitations and a less than ideal workflow, though, since Ill only be using it for simple beats and some ethereal weirdness in an ambient jazzelectronica band Im in, not as a hub for everything.

But two things I cant get my head around and havent found any answers to (I may simply be missing something very obvious).

Is it possible to save an entire pattern set I know it doesnt have song mode, but it doesnt make any sense to let you spend lots of time setting up a huge pattern set, but not let you save it.

Is there a way to edit each bar of a, say, 4 bar pattern without having to listen through the whole pattern - an option to loop each bar individually I would really appreciate any and all feedback.

Im unfamiliar with the sampler version but on the e2 you just hit write.

The thing that kills me is it usually glitches when you save during playback.

Yuck.

But is there no way to save it to a specific location, so that I can make a new, different pattern set No one out there that knows if its possible to loop a one-bar section of a four bar pattern.

Im not wondering how to save a pattern, but a series of patterns (a whole pattern set).

You mean a series of a couple of pattern sets that you can scroll between to make an entire song In that case, no you cant save them all as a bundle but would have to do it one at a time.

As for playinglooping individual bars of a pattern, I wasnt aware you could do that and its been one of those things Ive missed from the previous versions of the tribe.

On the electribe I make pattern A (with up to 16 partstracks).

When I have created and saved a bunch of patterns, I can push pattern set and place pattern A, B, C, D etc on different triggers (pads), right (This makes it easy to link the different patterns and play them).

Is there a way to save pattern A, B, C, D together as one Pattern set and save patterns E, F, G, H as another separate one Or do you only have the option to place your patterns in the default Pattern set If the latter is the case, this has to be the most ridiculous purchase Ive ever made.

Perhaps you can save pattern sets to the SD card I havent played with pattern sets yet on my ES2.
